CCClock On any given day, we have a pretty rare opportunity and privilege of being given 86,400 seconds to do just about anything that our hearts fancy.  At first glance, you would say, wow, that seems like quite a bit of time.  But for every second that I sit here typing this, I'm losing precious time of the day to do something else.  Not necessarily anything more important per se, but just something else.  This concept is commonly known as 'opportunity cost'.  The cost of doing one thing compared to another. Everyday people continue to throw more 'things' into their daily mix.

So in theory with this finite amount of time each day, we all have to find the things that matter most to us that we would like to accomplish.  Because we do have this limited time, I think personally that it is important to find that mere say 4% of our day to workout (using 1 hour as my base) and take care of our bodies  on a daily basis.

Sure we have other things we have or need to get done, such as grocery shopping, taking and picking up the kids from school/daycare/sports/dance/friends, bank, Quality time with a loved one or friends.  There are always an endless list of ‘other’ things to keep us busy. Excuses!

The bottom line is that you need to, you must take that mere 4% or less of your day to take care of yourself and your future.  Spending a short amount of time each day working on your fitness level/health will add days, months, and years onto your lifespan and you'll feel better about yourself, your quality of life, your ability to have more energy when you wake up and get through the day.  I guarantee you your outlook on life will change after you transform yourself from a sedentary lifestyle to one of an active lifestyle.  It just takes commitment and belief in yourself that you deserve to do it.  Take the next 90 days (try P90, P90x, or any other workout you can find that interests you) and set some goals, make some small changes in your habits and you won’t regret. By that time you should be on course and primed to lead the healthy lifestyle. Just get off the couch!

The clock is ticking, how will you utilize your seconds today?  Let me know and lets do it together, make a change and lets get people moving in the right direction.
