Week 1 has come and gone and I’m in full Insanity mode now! It was a great week I might say. I really felt great getting into that 2nd round and adding new fun and twists to my latest adventure. With the deluxe set add-on workouts, it really should prove interesting. The challenge continues and it’s a wonderful thing!

I think I might swap out the Cardio Recovery day each week with the Max interval sports training workout. I know that is against the grain, but the best part is that I have that option. I will play it by ear each week. I did one day last week of the Upper body weight training and will say I liked it. I felt pumped afterwards and was sore the next day in a good way. Was wonderful. I was intrigued with the mix of cardio and weights and you will be blown away by the calorie burn you get with that workout.
I did find that I as like most people had challenges and obstacles to overcome and I think I did great. I think that we all go through it and the key is not making excuses but finding a way to succeed! Mainly my obstacles are about food. The workouts for me are fun. I enjoy getting in there and pushing hard each and every time. finding new ways to better myself. Sure they are tough. Sure I get tired and have to motivate myself to do them and stay in the ‘game’ but the key is that I do.
Week 1 Workouts:
Day 1 – Plyometric Cardio Circuit
Day 2 – Cardio Power & Resistance
Day 3 – Upper Body Weight Training
Day 4 – Max interval Sports Training (replaced Cardio Recovery)
Day 5 - Pure Cardio & Upper Body Weight Training
Day 6 – Plyometric Cardio Circuit
Starting with Week 2, I will be doing 2 if not 3 days a week of the Upper Body weight workout. I’m also excited this week to get my first shot @ the insane abs workout. All of this combined, makes for an incredible workout program that everyone looking to get into shape or up for probably one of the best challenges you’ll face workout wise. A reminder to self that I need to buy a couple more sets of weights. Still deciding on the weight. I’m thinking craigslist is the place to for some relatively inexpensive ones. We shall see.
