Alright, this was my 2nd crack at the pure cardio workout last night. First round wasn’t so bad. But I wasn’t as comfortable as I was last night. I think in part to having gone through it once already and getting familiar with the routine. Some of the exercises are new, actually quite a few, so that played a part. Last night as a whole, it went very well. Here are some of my thoughts.
The one exercise that just drains you right out the gate is the switch kicks. It feels like it just keeps on going and going. I’m hoping as my core gets stronger, I can sustain my endurance better. I was able to muster I think only one stop. Which again comparing to week 1, i did a few times. So was happy to see the progress there.
The overall workout is intense. Non-stop keep you going to the tilt for the 20+ minutes of cardio that you do. I enjoy the many sayings in this one that Shaun T. likes to throw out there. My favorite so far in this workout is “I’m so tired, I can’t remember the names of my moves!”. Some more listed below.
Lets run through a few:
- Not trying to hurt you, just trying to make you better!
- The stronger you get the better you’ll feel!
- Don’t compromise form!
- push Through!
- Dig Deeper!
- Check your hear rate!
What is good about these is that it is 100% true. It’s really simple concepts that if you follow will keep you safe from injury, raise your fitness levels and get you to that goal of being the fittest you’ve ever been in your life. So, take a chance and take a ride on the Insanity Rollercoaster because it will knock your socks off. The greatest ride (since P90x of course) that’s come to hit the fitness world. :)
Contact me with any questions. I would love to hear about your challenge, journey, transformation. There is no reason that the 1 in 3 Americans that are OBESE can’t get up and start doing something. It is just a lack of motivation, goals and desire to change. But these are obstacles that can be overcome. Let’s do it together!
