insanityImage3  Now, last night (Thursday) was a much better workout than the night before.  If you recall from my day 44 update I hit a bit of a stumbling block where I was just kind of run out of energy there 1/2 way through.  Not sure but I was just fine last night.  Felt really good.    So I’ll chalk it up to a bad day.  In either case, plyo got me sweating and the heart pumping.

Video Update here. Need to work out a better video/audio setup  i think. :).  Definitely need to fill the turtle tank.

So something that seems so trivial and easy as the 1-2-3 exercise, I really never could get my feet to move that fast it seems.  But this time around I did seem to finally ‘get’ it and was able to really push through this one especially during the 3rd set of the warm-up.  Looked funny I'm sure as you try to move that fast and keep everything under control. But was a good mental feeling to start to really make it look right.

Another thing that I had mentioned previously were the vast amount of push-up’s that we seem to do in the plyo workout.  I enjoy the squat pushup leading straight into the wide in and out abs.  One thing I've learned is to really keep the core tight when you are pulling your legs in from out movement to the in.  Making sure to use your lower abs to pull your legs back up.   I’m still NO where near as strong as these guys are in the video on the power jumps.   My goal in the next couple weeks is to really be able get through the entire power jumps sequence all 3 times.  To keep up these guys would be awesome.  It’s a tough goal but I think I can dig deep and step up to the plate. We shall see.  All about finding the right motivation. It is there, just need to grab it by the horns and let it loose!

My other fun loving exercise in Max Interval Plyo is the Power pushup.  Now, I can do them, good form, but I look like I’m in slow motion compared to everyone else. It’s amazing how fast some of them are going.  Here is my question to you all.  Can you keep up with Chris on the 3rd set of the power push-ups?  I certainly can’t yet.  That would be nice if I could.  Anyone? Anyone? :).  Now this is what I think is great about the Insanity workout’s.  Especially the Max.  There are a large group of folks that Shaun has in the video’s.  The great thing is that they are all of varying fitness level’s. You can clearly see that they all aren’t some super GODS of working out.  They need to take breaks, they need to stop at various times.  This just shows a more natural relationship with US the viewers and how even those in shape need to take breaks. That the growth potential for US using Insanity is huge.  Think about the ability to go back and go through Insanity x number of times to get up to the level these guys are performing at.  Gives insanity it’s staying power for a long time to come.

I had a great night.  Burned a ton of calories, heart rate high and was loving every minute of it.  In my next hybrid workout, the three max interval workouts will be a part of it in some fashion.  If you are ready for a serious challenge to your current workout regime I would highly suggest trying Insanity.  Give me a poke and contact me about it or any other BeachBody program.  There is a product that we can find that will fit your fitness level or GOALS you are trying to achieve.  Keep yourself accountable as well and sign up at WOWY.  Accountability, friends and potentially free cash.  Can’t hurt. My buddy name is KevinPrice.    Can’t wait to see you on the front lines and getting insane!  You won’t regret the decision.

KP is out.  Peace!
