Ok, so we are through the Recovery week of Insanity.  That was what I can tell the calm before the storm. :).  I did enjoy the recovery week including the 6 days of Core Cardio & Balance.  My Hip flexor’s were burning and my quads were angry at me.  But by the end of the week, they actually began to cooperate and really get some effective core work done.  I was pleasantly surprised at how I was sore throughout this week from the core work.  I know don’t have the most solid midsection out there, of course that is the goal of all of this, and it was nice to know that it is WORKING and getting closer to my goal.

I’ve had fun this past week.  Should be a great Month 2 ahead and look forward to it (starts tomorrow). I’d have my calories posted, but my monitor has decided to break on me and I’m running blind right now.  Not happy about it, but can’t go out just yet and grab a new one. Going to tinker tonight and see if I can get the broke one working.  Scary thought there me tinkering. :)

Day 35 – Rest Day

So again, if you are just getting into your recovery week, or just starting out with Insanity, make sure you are focusing on the abs/core every single day. Make sure that you are focusing and digging deep each workout/exercise, as what I have found, is that 35 days has come and gone in a flash.  SO you have to utilize the ~40+ minutes you get each workout and bring it as much as you can. That is why this is called Insanity.  You need to be insanely involved in each workout and push yourself to the edge, get the most out of your workouts.  Of course, if your about to pass out, take a rest.  Monitor, monitor, and monitor.  I can’t say that enough.  We have our thresholds.  So be careful.

Week 6/max intervals/Month 2 starts tomorrow.  I’m ready I hope.  Have fit Test #3 first, which in and of itself is daunting just from the knowing that you want to crush your numbers from the previous one.  And then have a Max interval workout still to come.  Thinking this will be a 2 part workout day. :)

Ready for Insanity? If you’ve recently gotten through P90x, Chalean extreme, or think you are in pretty good shape, take a look at Insanity.  I think that you will find it will push you to new limits that you hadn’t been to before. I think that it will get you in great shape if not the best shape of your life in those 60 days if you commit, stick to the routine and follow the nutrition guide.  I would love to discuss with you where you are at currently fitness wise and what your goals are.  Contact me, and see what we can do.  if you are ready for Insanity, drop over here and grab it. Then, make sure you are signed up with WOWY and get tracking your workouts daily and be held accountable with others. I’m there usually, find me as a buddy KevinPrice
